About
Hi — I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a sonographer (ultrasound technician), and I talk to women like you every day. I’ve sat with so many of you through appointments, and I’ve heard the same things come up again and again — women telling me they feel like their body is failing them, that something must be seriously wrong, that they don’t recognize themselves anymore.
I’ve also been through it myself. Forgetting words mid-sentence. Waking up at 3am for no reason. Wondering, quietly and a little frightened, if something was seriously wrong with me — my body, my mind, all of it.
It wasn’t early dementia. It wasn’t me losing my grip. It was perimenopause — and it took far too long for me to understand that, because nobody had explained it to me clearly.
So I started writing down what I’ve learned along the way — both from my own experience, and from years of conversations with women going through the exact same thing. Not vague wellness advice, not a wall of medical jargon — just clear, honest answers to the questions I know so many of you are asking yourselves, often alone, often at night.
That’s what this blog is. Each post breaks down one symptom: what it is, why it happens, what’s normal, and when it’s worth talking to your doctor.
If you want it all in one place — every symptom, plus a checklist to take to your GP appointment — you can get the full guide, Not Going Crazy, here: https://payhip.com/NotGoingCrazy
You’re not going crazy. You’re not broken. I hope this helps you feel a little less alone in it.
